The department of Computer Science came into existence in 2006 with the introduction of computer science as a subject at the UG level under the self-finance scheme. The course PGDCA was introduced in the same year with an intake of 45 seats.
The computer lab is well furnished with 30 computers. A proposal of creating a new computer lab with 50 computers is under process.
In the session 2018-19 the intake in PGDCA has increased to 70 and 02 new courses DCA and BCA have been introduced with an intake of 40 and 30 seats respectively.
